Stopped in for lunch and the staff were so friendly.
The food was absolutely fabulous and all of the cakes and slices were delicious. I had an iced apple slice and a sausage roll and it was all fresh and yummy.
I also had an oat latte and it was made to perfection. Great Bakery and best I have been to in a very long time.
Stop in both ways on the last trip. Pie, pasties and sausage rolls were great. The fruit slices were great. I had a dessert, who make escapes me, large flat oval filled with fruit, well meant to be filled with fruits. Had almost nothing in it, was dry and tasteless. A real disappointment. So avoid anything that sounds like that.
First time stopping here, normally stop at the larger Roadhouses. Will be coming back here in future when travelling back and forth from Adelaide. Food and service was heaps better. Friendly staff, food was fresh and healthy.
This bakery gets missed sometimes I think due to its location as there are the more popular ones just a bit further up on the other side of the road closer to the service stations but they still had a decent pasty.
We walked in and were presented with a range of 4 different vanilla slices to choose from! Wow we thought! While we were pondering our choices “WHOS NEXT?!” Was yelled at us. We approached and asked the elderly lady who served us “which vanilla slice would you recommend? “Whichever one you choose” was the grumpy response. We chose one and sat down to enjoy our choice only to find it was the most average vanilla slice we’d had in memory.
My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite on the road and received lovely service.
They ran out of Beef and Mushroom pies but had some just about to come out. We only waited a few minutes, and were happy to wait, but they still came out with an additional treat for us (coffee and vanilla slice) which was super lovely.
Thanks Pt Wakefield Bakery!
It was dark and you couldnt read any if the labels. All the older women were rude and pushy so make sure you know exactly what you want before you go in. (The girl with the black and red hair seemed nice though.) food was mid at best. There was no system so everyone was standing in everyone elses way, no idea who was next, no idea who had been served. And had no idea there was a seating area because its hidden behind a wall.
Had a delicious pastie here, the cakes are amazing too if you have room at your waistline
